I've made what is to a webcam as two rocks are to the Large Hadron Collider (or Halo, which no one seems compelled to use).
If anyone better at UNIX than me (read: anyone) has a good idea of how to automate this beyond typing "./isightcapture snapshot.jpg" and dragging the file to its destination, I'd like to hear it. The only script I've found involved letting your password sit there in a plain text file, which after reading Cryptonomicon I'm too conscientious to do.
Speaking of which, with the way dorm desks are arranged our neighbors could easily be doing some Van Eck phreaking right now. Which might explain the hammering noise somehow.

Welcome to the dark side, young Jedi. It is time you learned the use of the Force^H^H^H^HShell Script.
What's the full path to the isightcapture script? And what's the full path to the image's intended destination?
Ooh ... we'll get a shell script and a cron job if this works out right. Muahahaha!

Funny - no clouds today, but suddenly a peal of thunder...
The script and image destination at in the same folder - at
/Users/abnercadaver/Sites/isightcapture
and
/Users/abnercadaver/Sites/snapshot.jpg
respectively.
